This Friday, 30th May, composer James Sharif brings his evocative and deeply personal music to the Romantic Revival Orchestra’s concert at the CBSO Centre. Known for his lyrical approach and immersive storytelling through sound, James crafts compositions that resonate with emotional depth, each melody unfolding like a character in its own journey.
From writing for major ensembles like the BBC Concert Orchestra, CBSO, and The Fidelio Trio to blending music with photography for multidisciplinary projects, James continues to shape his artistic voice in remarkable ways. Now, as he prepares to graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, one piece remains closest to his heart: For Every Round You've Walked.
Dedicated to his father, this work carries years of love, gratitude, and unspoken emotions—a melody first conceived at New Street Station and now brought to life on stage.
Join us as the Romantic Revival Orchestra presents an evening of stunning music, featuring the talent and vision of James Sharif.
